The Village Hall, Combe Martin
The Village Hall Community Group is an independent registered charity (No. 1150536) with 3 trustees supported by a committee of other volunteers. It was formed in 2012 to run, maintain and improve Combe Martin Village Hall.
We acquired a 25 year lease from the Parish Council in October 2014 which then enabled us to apply for grants and run the hall completely independently. Our focus has been to invest in the hall and improve the facilities for the whole community to use and enjoy. As a charity, fundraising is at the heart of this - everybody involved is a volunteer and, with the help of grants, we have made many improvements to date. Every penny raised goes to the village hall.
We hire the hall to various groups and clubs in the village, theatre productions and local organisations. As a Committee, we organise the Farmer's Market which is held (usually) every 3rd Saturday of the month. We also run the kid's youth club with other volunteers once a week during term time and badminton for both adults and children.
Various other events are held throughout the year by either the Committee to fund raise or other organisations who hire the hall for their own events. Clubs such as Judo, brownies, guides and rainbows also hire the Hall.
Hire is available to all, whether a private party, bingo, quiz, training or theatre groups/bands/events.

We have a licensed bar, run by our committee volunteers, available with hire of the hall/annex at no additional cost
We are a not for profit organisation and all funds raised go towards maintaining and improving the Village Hall to keep this valuable village asset available to all in our community and surrounding areas.
